We know the Spirit of Mana of Tahiti and Her Islands, and We’ll Plan The Perfect Trip For You.

Some Tahiti Highlights
- Only an 8 hour flight from Los Angeles
- Home of the famous Over-Water Bungalow
- Tahiti offers a lot of cultural experiences
- Tropical forests are a home to many species of birds and flowers
- Amazing scuba diving
It is the home of the famous Over-Water Bungalow for over 50 years now, all other over-water bungalows pale in comparison. Mexico, Jamaica, Antigua, St Lucia all have over-water bungalows, but what makes it a breathtaking experience, is the crystalline clear water, abundance of coral and tropical fish in Polynesian bungalows, that are absent in the Caribbean. Even more important: no crowds in the resorts.
About Tahiti
Tahiti is definitely one of my favorite places on Earth to visit. If there was a photo in the dictionary next to the ‘bucket list paradise’ definition, there would be a photo of Tahiti. And that is saying a lot coming from a travel professional. It’s located south of the Equator, in the same time zone as Hawaii, and it is only 8 hour non-stop flight from Los Angeles and San Francisco. It consists of 118 islands, 5 archipelagos, so it can be quite confusing, because it’s largest island is also named Tahiti. The most popular and most visited archipelago out of the entire island chain, is the Society Islands, with it’s major islands: Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, Taha’a, Huahine, Tetiaroa, Maupiti, Bora Bora
The islands of Tahiti are all connected by Mana, the life force and spirit that surrounds us. From the moment you arrive, you’ll understand why Tahitians say they are Embraced by Mana. The islands are full of cultural diversity with lots of sacred places, that have been sanctuaries in ancient Polynesia with tiki stones that stand among the lava and marae. Polynesian dances are part of it’s unique culture, and you’ll be able to see traditional dances when you visit. Irresistible to visitors, the islands became home to the famed French painter Paul Gaugin, and more recently to Marlon Brando, who purchased the island of Tetiaroa where we have the stunning Brando resort, that displays a whole new level of luxury.

When the travel resumed in May 2021 after the pandemic closure, we knew this was a place with natural social distance. It is very easy to be 6 feet away from people.

Travel To Tahiti Can Be Unpredictable If You Don’t Work With A Professional
Just to give you the comparison, Tahiti and her islands receive the same number of visitors in one year as Hawaii receives in one week! Once you arrive, you’ll be awed by everywhere you look. Every photo you take will look like a screen saver, and it still doesn’t do it justice.
The end product is undeniably intoxicating and magical, but planning a trip can be tricky. Because of the natural elements, the wear and tear of the over-water bungalows is such that they must be almost completely re-done every 5-15 years or so. Resorts sometimes use those updates to introduce new elements and features. Also, complete closures of the entire resort, for a few months at the time, are not uncommon. Even from a few years ago, then relevant travel blog is now grossly outdated.
Many islands present many choices, navigating inter island flights, and getting to the open air airports, that can only be reached by boat, can get tricky. A meet and greet service is almost necessary on arrival to Papeete, in order to get to the domestic terminal. Also, some islands must use their own aircraft, which sometimes doesn’t fly daily.
Travel always comes with an unpredictable factor. Flights get canceled, inclement weather, mechanical issues with transfers. Those things happen in Tahiti too, and yet, I have never in my entire career, heard a negative feedback from a client I sent to Tahiti. Whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary or a family vacation, all the feedback is rave reviews.

You Will Love The Culture of Tahiti
There are so many things to do that are not all water based. With it’s rich history, and sacred places and museums, Tahiti offers a lot of cultural experiences. Natural beauty is undeniable. Waterfall hikes, ATV adventures are available activities almost at each island. Raiatea has famous vanilla plantations of the finest vanilla on the planet, and many islands have oyster farms produce the finest black Tahitian pearls.
Tropical forests are a home to many species of birds and flowers. Tahiti Tiare, which blooms exclusively in Society Islands, is one of the most fragrant flowers and is now protected. I am very proud to be called a Tahiti Tiare Specialist.
It’s a paradise for scuba divers and snorkelers. With water visibility at average 60 feet, it feels like you are diving the aquarium. Almost every island has a coral garden, that should not be missed, and Le Taha’a even has it’s own private coral garden within walking distance from the over-water bungalow. People think that Bora Bora’s claim it has 42 different shades of blue water is just a clever marketing tagline, but it is an undeniable truth. Swimming with sharks and stingrays is also A MUST experience.
Tahitian cuisine is a fantastic blend of Polynesian tradition with a French twist. In most dishes, you’ll find yams, sweet potatoes, bananas and breadfruit. Traditional food is wrapped in leaves and cooked in an ahima’a, the traditional Polynesian underground oven with hot stones. Tahitian-Style Poisson Cru is Tahiti’s answer to ceviche with coconut milk. Feel free to email me for the authentic recipe. Poisson Cru, Whitefish in Vanilla sauce and Chocolate Pyramid represent more modern and European twist with local ingredients.

Your Trip To Tahiti
Tuamotu archipelago is the closest next and most accessible from Papeete Tahiti. The main island of Rangiroa is only a 60 minute flight, and we have a lovely beach resort 4.5*. Tuamotu archipelago is your ultimate dive/snorkel bucket list.
Second largest in Tuamotu Archipelago is Fakarava, protected atoll together with its six neighboring islands, that makes up a Unesco classified nature reserve, which is the proof of the richness of the ecosystem of these atolls. The real drawcard to the island is its scuba diving which still holds its share of excitement: loach, meru, barracuda, rays and the highly memorable hammerhead and tiger sharks. Paul Gaugin Cruiseline also has a 10-day luxury itinerary with both archipelagos included.
If you’re interested in out of the box experience, there is a pretty epic cruise Aranui 5, that includes Society Islands, Tuamotus and Marquesas as well, within an experience on a dual purpose passenger ship/tanker.
Whatever your Tahiti dreams may consist of, we are just a click away

What Our Clients Say
Rebecca M.
St. Louis, MO
“DC is a amazing! She organized my bachelorette party in Puerto Villarta and my honeymoon in Moorea. And let me tell you, I did not make it easy. Both were during COVID and there were so many last minute cancellations and changing protocols, but she pulled both off. Not only did they both happen, they were incredible unforgettable experiences.
She was there every step of the way and in constant communication. There was a hurricane in Puerto Villarta when we were there and not only did she make sure we were safe, she rearranged our travel at a moment notice when the roads were damaged to the airport. My honeymoon was literally the stuff of dreams. I cannot recommend DC enough!!
